Kogi State Polytechnic has withdrawn 193 students due to poor academic performance in the 2019/2020 academic session just weeks after sending 217 students away for the same reason.
This was announced in a statement by the institution’s spokeswoman Uredo Omale.
Most of the expelled students (130) were from ND I Business Administration.
Mrs Omale stated that the affected students were from four departments (Business Administration, Mathematics and Statistics, Science Laboratory Technology, Library and Information Science).
She added that the Academic Board of the polytechnic considered and approved the withdrawal of the students and supplementary results at an emergency meeting.
